The Breeze 56

The busy Christmas season is almost upon us, so thanks for taking the time to read our latest blog, and I hope you will pick something up from the Black Cat news below.

We have had some fantastic weather in Canterbury recently and this is set to last through the summer according to the forecasters.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Cheers Paul

The shortest day is nearly upon us and whilst many are hoping it’s about to snow the fine weather has been great for cruising. We’ve had some special sightings of whales recently and hosted some VIPs including the former mayor of San Francisco and a NZ sports legend. We’re also looking forward to next summer already with many cruise ships confirming Akaroa as their Canterbury stop and also plans for a huge French Fest. In the meantime thanks for your continued support. We are operating right through the winter season every day.

Cheers Paul

The last month has been dominated by the September 4th earthquake and its aftermath. What has been most amazing is how Christchurch has reacted to the quake and how quickly it has recovered. The seeds of this recovery were sown well before this event and the preparation across all areas of the community has meant a pretty quick turn around. This month we celebrated our 25th anniversary and celebrated with our first customer.

Here is the latest in news and events from Black Cat Cruises. It’s been a great few months out on the water with lots of dolphins along with an incredible sighting of a rare Blue Whale. In our 25 years of cruises, that was a first! We also had Miss Italy swimming with dolphins, thousands of Easter eggs given away, a successful walk for hectors dolphins fundraiser and our April 1st prank – all making local or national news. Check out some of the great blogs and feedback we have received recently, it’s what Black Cat is all about – world class experiences. Thanks for reading.

Cheers Paul
