Free fish & chips on the Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise

Two of Akaroa’s greatest treats are being combined  to provide a real kiwi taste of Akaroa. Every passenger on our last Akaroa Harbour Nature Cruise of the day at 3.40pm  will be treated to free meal of the town’s world famous Akaroa fish and chips.

Free ferry for Supergold card holders

Did you know that Supergold card holders now get free use of the Diamond Harbour Ferry? The free ferry is for services on weekdays between 9am and 3pm and after 6.30pm and all day Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.

A ferry has been operating from Lyttelton to Diamond Harbour since about 1888. These days Black Cat Cruises run a fast catamaran which will whisk you over the harbour in less than 10 minutes.

The ferry departs from B Jetty in the port of Lyttelton. You can either take a public bus which meets with every ferry or park your car in Lyttelton and walk over the over bridge to the ferry terminal.
